Shipping and Delivery Policy

Welcome to Jald.in, a multi-vendor quick commerce platform by Jald Solutions Private Limited. We aim to offer seamless hyperlocal deliveries from your trusted neighborhood vendors. Please read our Shipping and Delivery Policy carefully before placing an order.

Delivery Areas

  • Currently, Jald services select areas in Thane and nearby semi-urban zones.
  • Delivery availability depends on the location of the customer and the proximity of the vendor.
  • Serviceable areas are continuously expanding. Please check the app or website for the latest serviceable zones.

Delivery Time

  • Standard delivery time ranges between 15 to 60 minutes, depending on vendor location and order volume.
  • For non-perishable items or scheduled deliveries, time slots may be selected during checkout.
  • Delays may occur due to high order volume, weather, traffic conditions, or unforeseen logistical challenges.

Order Processing

  • Orders are confirmed only after vendor acceptance.
  • Once accepted, the vendor prepares the order, which is then assigned to the nearest available delivery partner.
  • Customers can track the real-time status of their order through the app.

Delivery Charges

  • Delivery charges may vary based on:
    1. Distance between vendor and customer.
    2. Total order value.
    3. Peak hour surcharges or time-based pricing.
  • All delivery charges will be displayed clearly before order confirmation.

Packaging

  • All orders are packed by the respective vendors.
  • Packaging types may vary based on the nature of the product and the vendor’s resources.
  • Jald promotes the use of eco-friendly packaging wherever feasible.

Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders

  • VCOD is offered at the discretion of the vendor.
  • In the case of COD, payment is collected at the time of delivery.
  • Refunds or cancellations for COD orders must be routed through the vendor, with mediation by the assigned Area Associate if required.

Order Cancellation and Refund

  • Orders can be cancelled only before the pickup is assigned to a delivery partner.
  • Once picked up, cancellations must be requested directly through the Area Associate and vendor.
  • Refunds for prepaid orders, if applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days, after applicable deductions.

Failed Deliveries

  • If the customer is not available at the delivery address or is unreachable, the order may be marked as undelivered.
  • In such cases, refunds will not be issued unless the issue is promptly reported and verified.

Definitions

  • Vendor: A local business or service provider listing and selling products through the Jald platform.
  • Delivery Partner: A gig-based individual responsible for last-mile delivery.
  • Customer: An end-user placing orders through the Jald app or website.
  • Area Associate: A territory manager who oversees vendor onboarding, delivery coordination, and issue resolution in specific areas.
